Eoghan Schwope|As the title suggests, it is "Essentials," and the essentials it does provide. A good book for an introductory class, but too much of the material is a repeat of basic ecology. While this book may be good for a 300-level class where this is all very new information for most students, for my graduate level class it was a waste of money. H
